Maryland STEM Festival: "Discovery Science: Solar Energy"

The first statewide Maryland STEM Festival will be held November 6-15, 2015. It will consist of over 100 events across the state of Maryland.

The goal of the festival is to encourage students of all ages across the state to choose STEM related careers, to showcase Maryland's STEM achievements, and to further integrate Maryland's STEM focused programs and institutions with the general community.

Discovery Station will join the many organizations around the state that are hosting Festival events by hosting our own STEM related program. On Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 2 p.m., Discovery Station will be hosting the program "Discovery Science: Solar Energy".

Energy is now an everyday topic of discussion, but many of us are left with the question, “WHAT SHOULD I BE DOING?”. Phil Kelly, owner of Millennium 3 Energy - the area's premier choice for design and installation of Solar PV Systems, will be exploring the cutting-edge scientific concepts behind solar energy and will answer that very question - and more.

We encourage visitors to take part of this program and the other many events taking place throughout this festival.
