ACT Play

We are hosting the Authentic Community Theatre as they put on a live play for children in our Explorer Cafe!

For the third year in a row, The Authentic Community Theatre is creating their storytelling program around the Washington County Library's Summer Reading Club theme. This year, "On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!" is centered on fitness and friendly competition. Calling some classic children's fairy tale and fable characters to our memories, our story revolves around a race! Princess Rapunzel is outraged and panicked to learn that the king and queen are hosting a contest of speed and endurance to win the crown (and to marry the princess)... She will need as much help and advice as she can get to ensure a fair and endurable outcome to this race, which includes such runners as Jack Be Nimble, her favorite prince, and of course...the Tortoise and the Hare!

Who will triumph, and what skills and virtues will be most valued and rewarded?
