STEAM Machine Children’s Art Contest

Discovery Station is pleased to host the STEAM Machine Children’s Art Contest!

The STEAM Machine Children’s Art Contest is designed to get children thinking about the world and the future. The theme for this contest is the Colonization of Mars.

In the coming decades, human beings will not only travel to Mars as astronauts – but they will live there! We want children to look into what challenges these astronauts will face (ie: food sources, shelter, energy sources, terraforming, oxygen) and to design a habitat that they feel would best suit the astronauts living on Mars. This habitat could be set during any period of time over the course of the next several hundred years.
